September 6, 2011: the RM of Victoria Beach council meeting the council past a resolution calling for a RFP (request for proposals) from engineering/geological firms to study the area of beach growth and shoreline protection in Victoria Beach. In addition, the council is investigating the costs of obtaining a survey of  the shoreline of the RM of Victoria Beach to determine the exact placement of the line between private and public land.

September 20, 2011: The Advisory Committee presented its “What we heard” document together with three recommendations. Click here to view the report.  Council also passed a resolution calling on the Province to not approve any  shoreline work on crown land in Victoria Beach until the final report of the Advisory Committee is presented. A similar resolution to ban work on RM and private property was suggested but did not go to a vote.
